RegTool Review - Why RegTool is an Ideal Fix Tool For Your Computer

Filed Under (antispyware, pc error) by JamesRyan on 20-05-2010

RegTool was put to the test on a 2 yr old Packard Bell desktop computer that hadn’t been formatted or restored at all. The desktop PC was running a factory installed version of Windows XP, and it also had numerous pieces of software and hardware installed over those 2 years.
Before we ran RegTool to repair any mistakes start-up time for the Packard Bell was around 4 minutes, and opening removers such as office and internet explorer was a nightmare to say the least. In fact, most of the time the laptop froze and wouldn’t respond.

After a nice smooth download of the free version of RegTool, the cleaner software allows you to do a full scan of your system, BUT it will not remove your computer of any errors that it finds during the initial free scan, UNTIL you register for the full version. We bought the remover to make sure it did what it said it did, and see how the order process went. Webought the regular version of RegTool using a visa credit card via their payment system, which is clickbank. the order went smoothly and delivery of the product was instant.

The very first scan that we did with RegTool took around 4 minutes to complete. That initial first scan found 1,128 registry errors with our Packard Bell PC, and in the second scan which we like to do to check consistency of the results, it found the same amount. Most registry fix programs never seem to find the exact same amount of errors on a laptop.

After the scan was completed I couldn’t seem to find a methodology to clean any errors that RegTool found, so a third scan was done, which seemed to go a lot faster than the other 2 previous scans.
http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978243274
Once the third scan was completed RegTool then took just over 2 minutes to delete all the errors it found, and it also made a backup of all the changes it did to the Packard Bell’s system registry.

As mentioned above the Packard Bell PC was really sluggish to start up and open any programs. After running RegTool and repairing the registry mistakes and cleaning up the start-up programs, the Packard Bell PC took less than 2 minutes to boot up and opening office and internet explorer was exceptionally faster.

RegTool is a worthwhile registry cleaner software to have. It’s not a one fix all wayout for your laptop, but making sure you run a registry repair software every month will always help keep your laptop running smoothly, so in the end you probably wont need a one fix all resolution.
http://knol.google.com/k/anonymous/-/1r8jwudpstn3s/2
It’s worth the price they charge for regtool review considering you get 4 other fix programs in with the package, and it could save you an expensive trip to a laptop repair shop in the future. Overall RegTool produces good results, and increases the overall performance of your laptop.

Although we would recommend RegTool right off the bat, you might want to do a little bit of research yourself.
http://quizilla.teennick.com/stories/16657434/reverse-mobile-phone-lookup-collecting-information-on-suspicious-mobile-phone-numbers
The first thing that you should do is to look at some of the review websites that are on the Internet in order to find out what they have to say about this fix program. Look for ones that have feedback from multiple sources, not simply one person’s opinion on the program itself.
http://reversephonelookup2010.blogspot.com/
Once you have decided on the cleaner to use, you will be able to scan your computer for free using the download from their website. These scans are complete and it will give you a list of all of the differenterrors that you are experiencing within the Windows registry at that time. This can be a rather eye-opening experience.
http://reversecellphonelookup2003.blog.friendster.com/2010/05/reverse-phone-lookup-getting-information-on-suspicious-mobile-phone-numbers/
Finally, you need to allow the cleaner software to fix your computer and cleaner any mistakes that have been defined. This is often an automated process but many removers will also give you the ability to walk it, step-by-step through to the completion. After a restart of your laptop, you should notice that the registry has been cleaned because you will no longer be crashing and you will see a marked improvement in the overall speed of your pc.

My PC Keeps Crashing! How Do I Stop My PC From Crashing?

Filed Under (pc error) by freetraffic on 15-08-2009

The Lemon Cayenne Pepper Detox Drink is referred to by many names including the Master Cleanse 10 day detox diet, the lemonade diet, or the Beyonce Knowles diet.

This last name is in reference to how recently this Lemon Cayenne Pepper Detox Drink was used by actress / singer Beyonce Knowles to lose 20 pounds to prepare for her role in the movie Dream Girls.

Most people who have heard of the program know it as the Master Cleanse 10 Day Detox Diet

The detox drink has some amazing results in the area of weight loss as well. Other health benefits from using it include improving skin complexion, and increasing energy.

I work in the IT industry. There are many times that friends come to me wanting some help with their latest computer issue. One of the most common things friends will ask me is the “My PC Keeps Crashing! How Do I Fix It?”

Many things run through my head when I am asked this question. How old is the computer? What have you been doing on it? Have you been downloading and installing / uninstalling a lot of programs?

It’s a good idea to start by looking at the Registry.

Rebooting and crashing is commonly caused by having errors in the registry of the PC. The registry is a database which stores settings and options for all the software on the PC.

Often this is caused by installing/uninstalling software frequently. This causes the order of the registry to become jumbled and needs to be cleaned up.

The registry gives information on location on the software amongst other things.

Often a crash is a result of the registry directing the Operating System (OS) to a certain location of some software that has been requested by the user, only to find that the OS cannot locate the requested software it is somewhere else.

If the OS cannot find the software that has been requested it will become confused and panics - that’s a term for the dreaded “blue screen of death” that we have all experienced at one time or another.

This in turn can result in a loop where the PC constantly reboots. This is not a good situation to get into. And it’s very frustrating to work out why it is constantly rebooting.

You could fit it yourself, but the registry is a large database that is very confusing. Unless you really know what you are doing I do not recommend this as a solution.

In many cases you could be doing more harm than good.

It is important to keep the Registry in good shape to ensure that things run smoothly.

To do this it is a good idea to invest in a top quality registry cleaner. By regularly cleaning the Registry, you will stop any problems of crash’s and reboots from occurring in the future.

If all else fails you could re-install the Operating System, but this takes time and a lot of effort.

Installing the OS, then the files, then you documents and all the other data that you collect. Even before you do that there is the effort of backing up - and finding a backup solution.

Think of the time wasted. The downtime while you reinstall Windows. Maybe even lost productivity - which is money.

Take the time to spend $30 - $40 on a top quality registry cleaner and ensure that your PC is always running optimally. You will avoid those horrid “blue screen of death” reboots that cause people’s hearts to freeze in fear.

There are a few ingredients that form a part of the Lemon Cayenne Pepper Detox Drink, but here are just three:

1. - Lemon juice. Use freshly squeezed, fresh lemons that, if possible, are organic. Bottled lemon juice contains sugar and other additives that are not beneficial in the drink. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the detox drink.

2. - Organic grade B maple syrup. As stated about the lemon juice, do not use sugar filled syrup as it will dilute the benefits of the diet. You are looking for organic maple syrup. This may cost a bit more but the results are worth it. 2 tablespoons of maple syrup should also be added to the detox drink.

3. - Ground cayenne pepper. Not the most interesting ingredient, and because it is pepper there is a perception that it will make the drink taste bad. The previous two ingredients make the taste of the pepper. Add 1/10 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the drink.

The lemon cayenne pepper detox drink is a very simple idea that has proven effective for over fifty years. It is very easy to make, but the effectiveness of the detox program comes down to the quality of the ingredients used.

Troubleshooting And Eradicating Your Computer Errors And Problems Using Registry Cleaners.

Filed Under (pc error) by freetraffic on 19-06-2009

Troubleshooting computer error messages can be quite a lengthy and time-consuming task, especially if you are not computer technically minded. Solving the existing problem does depend on several matters which mostly are intensely involved.

Like most troubleshooting skills, elimination is the manner of play in order to troubleshoot those annoying problems. When your computer is turned on there is a chain of events that is carried out unbeknown to the majority of users and they are as follows:

POST (Power On Self Test) is run to assure that all your system peripherals and hardware are working in good order such as your power supply, hard drive, adapters, e.t.c. and your RAM. The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) carries out this test. The POST also checks that the operating system is installed correctly.

ntldr (NT Loader) will load and run next. This will load up the startup programs, the files system and it will assure where the operating system should be loaded to. The boot.ini file contains the information for this.

Any troubles on the NT Loader and the previous event then your computer will let you know with beeps and/or messages.

Next the ntdetect.com and the ntoskml.exe are loaded. These respectively configure most of the computer hardware suchlike the hard drive, sound card, mouse, keyboard e.t.c. The Windows kernel is loaded (the main OS componant) and then the computer registry is conferred with what is needed to obtain the system from running smoothly and correctly. This is where the registry issues will be found.

The Windows operating system is up and running now. Every day your computer will boot up without any troubles at all. But of course to some of us the inevitable will happen - your computer will not boot up.

This is the event that scares most of us. Sometimes your PC may just freeze or take alot longer to boot up. These are also both linked to computer problems.

Alot of these issues are normally directly linked to your computer registry. Registry errors are to most users a bit of a heavy task but with the right tools these can be easily overcome. The system registry stores and logs volumes upon volumes of information and is a very complexed part of the operating system. When a file, photo or folder is created, deleted or copied, or in fact absolutely everything that is carried out on your PC - all the information is logged into the system registry.

A corrupt registry over time can quite easily materialise. This can happen for a variety of reasons, most of which can be prevented. Programs that fail to install properly, or when programs are uninstalled wrongly. Even something as simple as old drivers that are trying to be used and unused shortcuts can cause problems for your computer.

Computer viruses and spyware are of course a big contributor for your registry problems and issues which as said before can be prevented. Anti-virus software is a must for any PC nowadays that has access to the internet. You would be a fool not to implement antivirus software. Certain viruses and malware could potentially leave your computer irreparable.

Unless you are a very capable technician then I would not recommend that you attempt to rectify any system registry problems that arise. The most effective way to repair your registry is to use a reputable registry cleaner.

All good registry cleaners can be downloaded from the internet and offer a free scan. This scan will list the registry problems and errors that your computer has. You can then choose to download the registry cleaner and let it run it’s own course.

Fantastically simple and hassle-free.

DO NOT attempt to fix your registry yourself if you are not technically capable. You could render your computer inoperable.

AntiVirus & Registry Cleaner Is Essential Part Of Your Computer System - Discover More Now

Filed Under (pc error) by freetraffic on 15-06-2009

Essentially, what occurs is that these emails are part of phishing schemes. Phishing generally means that someone sends you fake or bogus emails with bad links in them. These links invite you to click on their bogus sites (i.e. not government sites at all) and submit some of your personal (confidential) information: maybe your complete name, social security number, etc. Some emails even have spyware attachments on them.

Identity thieves that you know, or thieves who focus on identity theft issues, send out thousands of fake emails almost on a regular basis any more, saying they?re representing government entities. So heads up if you receive emails saying they?re from the Justice Department, Federal Trade Commission, Internal Revenue Service or other government agency or department. Anti Spyware is computer software that is installed stealthily on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user’s interaction with the computer, without the user’s knowledge or consent.

These emails may try to trick you. One government department alone, the Treasury Department, reported* receiving over 23,000 complaints about IRS-related phishing schemes since November 2005. Most involve hoax emails telling recipients that they have a pending tax refund and are under investigation. Do not click on links inside emails from government agencies.

Government agency seldom communicate via email, and if they do, it?s in response to something you initiated most often. They communicate via postal mail. Windows commonly post updates, especially security patches. Make sure you download these or at least check monthly for updates. Mark your Outlook or other calendar and check regularly. So arm yourself: your computer and email for identity theft protection. Better safe then sorry!

What you will find is that most agencies are list on the web nowadays with contact information readily available. If you receive communications that you are unsure of, call the agency first to see if the emails are legitimate. Do not click on or save attachments that come with government emails. Delete these files. Unfortunately, sometimes even the best security isn?t good enough. Computers are expensive, and it makes sense to protect your investment from anything that could harm it.

Or maybe your computer just decided to crash one day. Back On Track software was created with situations like these in mind, to help repair the damage that has been done to your PC.

They will breach your pc system by exploiting security holes or are packaged with user-installed software, such as Limewire. Spyware is often hidden alongside other pc software, and you may unknowingly install spyware when you download a program from the Internet or install software from disks.

The worst outcome is the privacy implication virus spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses & windows registry and even passwords and credit card numbers.

Rectify Computer Problems

Filed Under (pc error) by freetraffic on 01-06-2009

Hello and welcome: Is your computer not running like it used to you when you first purchased it? Does it start slowly, do you receive error messages? This page was created to help you fix computer problems or at least point you in the correct direction to correcting these problems.

Remember when you first brought your computer home? How it did everything you asked without hesitation, software applications and Internet pages loaded almost instantly. What happened? Do you long for those days? You can enjoy those great times again but you need to understand what happened before you can solve windows problems.

99% of the time your errors can be traced back to the Windows Registry. What is this you ask? I will do my best to explain and I?m going to speak in the simplest terms possible. Your computers hard-drive is where everything is stored. Think of it as a file cabinet, it has files and folders just like a file cabinet in your home office.

The Registry is the master folder of this file cabinet. It’s the one part of the Windows operating system that most average users will never access. It can be intimidating, confusing and making the wrong change within it can halt Windows from loading period. Now I could tell you about hierarchical structure, sub-trees, hives (also known as discrete files) and roots but like I said, I want to keep it simple and the simple truth is if the Registry is not kept in order then your PC will become slow and will eventually quit all together. So you must solve computer corruption in the Registry before this happens.

What causes these problems? I?m so glad you asked. When your computer was new your Registry was in pristine condition. However, over time your Registry will grow as you add or remove programs to your computer. These additions and deletions will cause your Windows Registry to become corrupted and full of errors. Yes you would think that when you delete a piece of software that it is completely deleted from your Registry as well but unfortunately this is not the case. Often times files are left behind, (called residual files) it is these files that cause errors.

It is vital to have a clean Registry for optimum system performance and system stability. Keeping track of all this information can be grueling, it?s not an easy job and should only be done by someone who truly knows what they are doing. Changes made to the Registry are permanent.

There are programs specifically created to correct these problems but some cause more problems than they fix while others are just too complicated to operate for the average user. Over the years I have tried many of them and I am not here to bad-mouth any of them but I have found one that out shines them all, it?s called ErrorFix and it is packed with features:

?It?s user friendly
?It conducts High-performance scanning
?It?s a Junk File Cleaner
?It?s an Evidence Cleaner
?It?s a System Optimizer
?It?s an Internet Optimizer
?It?s a Smart Defragger
?It checks for Invalid Shortcuts
?It?s a Program Manager
?It checks for Invalid User Settings
?It checks Recently Used Files
?It checks the Uninstall Sections
?It checks Shared DLLs
?It validates Startup Programs
?And so much more

Should you take my word for it? No you should continue doing what you are doing now, being a wise consumer and research it for yourself. This is only my recommendation to solving the problems you currently face.

How to fix the adobe’s 100% CPU running

Filed Under (pc error) by JamesRyan on 26-10-2008

Reader Scott Adler wrote about a problem he was having with his computer getting stuck at 100% CPU Usage…

to correct a problem I’m having with Adobe Updater I need to get to change the preferences

Start the AdobeUpdater.exe application from …”\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Updater 5″

How do I get to this application??

The symptoms are that the updater runs and uses 100% of the processing capability of my CPU thereby making use of PC virtually impossible. I found an Adobe tech note that suggests changing the preferences by unchecking the “automatically Check for updates”

Scott has very good question. The problem is that Adobe removed that feature in Adobe Reader 8. We can no longer turn off the Adobe Updater program.

I had the same problem several months ago and tracked it back to Adobe Updater program. My solution was to return to Adobe Reader 7 and to Foxit Reader.

I use Foxit Reader as my default PDF reader and use Adobe Reader 7 to read PDF files via my web browser.
