The Most Key Pc Maintenance You Can Sort Out On Your System

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 19-08-2009

As the executive of a number of different Internet sites, I found out the tough way why it is critical that the windows registry be cleaned or maintenance every month. If you are using your computer as your central business hardware, it is necessary to encompass this task as part of your monthly duties.

As you would sort out your monthly accounting, you want to schedule your monthly hardware maintenance. There are is a lot to maintenance that is outside the scope of this article, but here are the four most vital ones to consider, registry cleaning, virus updates, spyware updates and firewall updates. The most necessary of all four is registry cleaning. Registry cleaning can possess the heaviest impact on your article writing. Having a congested or corrupted registry can potentially take down your computer. One day it boots up just satisfactory and then next day you have no way to access your computer.

Now there are those that love to execute all their computer maintenance manually and others that like to use software tools to get the same things done. The easiest way to sort out this is through a tool that is made for it, but many perform it manually. Since I encompass little time to organize it the old fashion way. I prefer to use software.

Using a software application to manage your registry and rolling up your sleeves to execute it yourself are two very different things. For example if you perform it manually without a windows registry cleaner, you run the risk of registry corruption and losing access to the one thing that allows you to access the world, drives traffic to your site and puts money in your bank account. If you possess only one computer than you are losing a lot. Some people encompass both a laptop and desktop in their homes so losing one computer is not a big deal. Yet having two pcs provides more work for yourself if you are doing this kind of maintenance manually.

The manual steps are difficult and do take you a lot of time to understand what you are looking at and what to remove. Often times a registry will hold more than just one file. It may share files with other pcs and applications. When you delete the wrong file there is no way to reverse what you have done unless you have setup a restore point in your system.

The bad part about using the restore point to reverse what you done is you not merely reverse the mistake, but you reverse all changes done to the registry. You could essentially have done two hours of work and with that one little mistake wasted all that time and effort by having to use the restore to delete all changes made within that last two hours.

Now lets look at the software driven registry cleaners. This cleaner will search your entire windows registry and match it with its different applications and files. Then it goes again and finds all those files in the registry that are orphaned. Once it defines the orphan files, then it will show you a report defining all the files found. It should at that time suggest what to delete and what to keep. The better registry cleaners will tell you exactly what you will be deleting or repairing. Now it is just a click of the mouse to get your windows registry back to its pristine state.

Computer Registry Problems. The Software Needed To Clean The System Registry.

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 11-08-2009

Viruses, spyware and any form of malware can cause big problems to the computer’s operating system and these can be the result of computer registry errors happening. These problems can start off by being quite minor, such as slow speed and performance and then mounting to the computer crashing and even unable to boot up. It can be quite difficult to rectify these issues, sometimes re-installation of the operating system is the only viable option.

Going online would be ludicrous without decent antivirus software protection. Not only is there the possibility of ID theft from malicious spyware installing itself onto the PC, but also the possibility of the operating system to become inoperable. The computer’s system registry is an all important component and if infected by a virus then the outcome could become fatal. So having antivirus software installed is a must.

The system registry is essential to the smooth running of the operating system and to keep it in this state the registry needs to be cleaned out. It stores all the commands and instructions of every single function performed on it, by the user or any piece of software or program. Errors in the registry usually are due to invalid and unwanted entries. It is a fairly common problem. If error problems flash up on screen or the computer’s functionality slows down then it is time to clean out the registry and revitalise it. If your hardware is working fine and the system is slow then this is down to system registry errors.

Adware software gets into a PC in many ways and once into your system, personal information and data is obtained to be passed where needed, primarily used for identity theft. Unless you are a competent computer engineer who knows the ins-and-outs of the system registry then the only way to repair it is to use a valued registry cleaner. A couple of clicks of your mouse and the software runs it’s own course.

There are numerous registry cleaners to be found on the internet and all are downloadable. If a virus or a piece of Adware has got into your registry which is potentially dangerous, a registry cleaner would flush this out whereas the majority of security programs can not. If an antivirus program has deleted any malware or spyware on the system after detection then it still is highly possible that it has left bad instructions or entries in the computer’s system registry. Be careful of what websites you visit and what unusual emails you receive. Your personal ID could be stolen and you would not realise until it was too late.

Be careful and clean out your registry if there is any suggestion of your computer slowing down. Please visit www.ComputerResurrection.com/registrycleaners.html for further information.

Fix And Restore Your Windows Registry

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 28-07-2009

If you own a computer desktop that is run by a Windows OS, it is essential to sustain it’s optimal performance by consistently cleaning the registry. A clean Windows registry will not just avoid a host of problems, it can help your system operates faster as well.

The registry is like the brains of your computer desktop. It?s technically a database of info deposited there by every program, which the system refers to constantly. It was designed to help Windows run faster. But if you don?t have a clean Windows registry, it could essentially reduce your computer’s speed.

Every time you install or uninstall a program, your registry is changed. This is true on any Windows system, such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, plus older versions of Windows, as well. The registry is also changed as you use your PC in other ways.

Registry keys are like databases full of vital program info. They tend to change and at times become obsolete. Sometimes when you uninstall a program, one or more registry keys can’t be deleted. Those left behind keys are no longer required by your computer’s system and therefore become useless files. These useless keys only cover space in the registry and cause the database much less efficient than a clean Windows registry.

Think of it to a real filing cabinet. If each folder has a purpose, then you?ll have fewer files that are simpler to get to. However start including and leaving in archive that you don’t already need often. Before long, the cabinet is packed full and it is more difficult to search what you really need. The registry works in much the same manner.

If the system has a harder time getting those documents, it takes a lot more time for programs to open. It can even take much longer for the whole PC to boot up when you turn it on. This takes place when you do not have a clean Windows registry. Also programs that function when the computer is turned on, at times most important system applications, have trouble starting as a result of the problem.

Programs can freeze and crash, and system wide troubles can become a big headache if there are unneeded or degraded files in the registry. Among the easiest methods to resolve these troubles is to download or purchase software that will clean and repair Windows registry.

Registry cleaner programs can be downloaded for free in some cases, or can be bought in the form of a download or CD. If you are determined on cleaning up your Windows registry, you may opt to buy high-class registry repair software to get rid of a number of the most common caveats of some free software, such as embedded adware and spyware.

Other free software stays available for an indefinite period but usually it?s no longer supported or debugged by the programmers. The best software won?t just clean Widows registry, it can also repair corrupted files and compact the size of the massive registry file.

You may also choose to find information on the Windows registry and study how to make manual repairs and how to delete obsolete keys. But given that the registry is essential to your computer?s functioning, if you make a mistake it can really break your PC.

The best solution is to go ahead and buy trusted registry cleaner win xp software. It is a small cost to pay to avert the troubles caused by not maintaining a clean Windows registry.

DLL Errors - What Are They? Use A Reputable Registry Cleaning Software To Repair Your Windows Registry.

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 28-06-2009

Windows registry error messages can cause your computer to slowdown, freeze and also crash. Whether you use your computer every day or not, there is every good reason to make sure that your computer stays in good functional order, and with this in mind, you need to think about the importance of keeping your Windows registry in good working order. Using a reputable registry cleaner is a dead cert for the beneficial health of your computer.

There are numerous of computer error messages that can flash up on your screen, most are all meaningless to us - most are more of a worry than anything. The most common of these errors that pop up is the DLL error.

DLL stands for Dynamic Link Libraries and these are a decisive component needed to help run the operating system. An excellent analogy to the DLL files to your PC’s operating system is this - your house needs electrics run into it in order for you to use your TV. You also have water fed into your home so you can use your bath taps and you also have gas piped in to use your oven. Consider the DLL files as being the cables for your electrics and the pipes for your water and also for your gas. Now understand the complications if these started to break down and this is the result of the occurance of DLL errors on your PC.

Of course, like most things in life, if you don’t understand, it can trouble us. Not unlike our unfriendly registry errors but until explained it is not such a big deal. There are ways to rectify these matters.

Here are some examples of how a DLL error happens. Some applications use shared DLL files. So if one of the applications requires a customized version of the DLL file for whatever reason needed then this would overwrite the original one. When the other application wishes to use the shared file then suddenly a problem occurs as it does not recognise the latest version. This is a DLL error.

When a bit of software disables a DLL file or if an old piece of software does not acknowledge the newer version this is when a disabled DLL file errors occurs.

The Windows operating system now has what is known as signed drivers. This is where a device driver comes attached with a digital signature. This digital signature indicates the publisher of the device driver software and whether it has been changed by an outside source. This then evokes the most common DLL error as a missing DLL file. The easiest thing to do is Google the DLL file that is missing (from your error message) and input it back into the Windows Library.

Of course certain viruses and malware create DLL errors and in this case you should install anti-virus software to stop this happening again.

As said, there are ways to rectifty these DLL errors - Use a reputable registry cleaner, such as RegTool or ErrorFix. These registry cleaners work through your registry database and sort out any invalid entries which cause your problems to occur. They effectively optimise your computer aswell as freeing it of registry issues. It is as simple as downloading the software then with one click of your mouse the registry cleaner will run it’s course. It could not be less problematic.

Computer Running Slower? ? It Might Be An Identity Theft Problem

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 28-06-2009

Is your computer running slow? If so, is your slow computer getting you down? You may be thinking, ?why is my computer so slow?? You may also want to know how to fix a slow running computer.

Several months ago my slow computer began slowing down a lot. At first it was just a nuisance. It took a little longer to get stuff done. Simple things like copying, moving and deleting files. I began to think, ?why is my computer so slow??

What I did not think at the time was that the reason my slow computer was slowing down even more was because of a security problem. I had no idea. I thought it was just that the computer was getting old or because my kids downloaded too many computer games.

I did not know that I had been the victim of a Trojan Horse computer security attack. I soon found out because I was the victim of identity theft. Someone ransacked my credit cards and my bank account. It was the first time I had been the victim of identity theft. At the time I did not know about identity theft protection, if I had I could have gone about preventing identity theft.

It was not until much later that I found out that the way the bad guys got my data was from my computer. Basically, it works like this. The criminals get a piece of malware onto your computer and this software then pinches your information and transports it back to the criminals. They then use your information to run up charges and open new accounts in your name.

So, what does this have to do with your computer running slow? A lot actually. Here?s how it works. The software the crooks put on your computer is very processor intensive. In other words, it puts an extra load on your computer. It?s like a parasite that saps energy from the host. The result is that your computer has to do more work. The result of that is you will have a slow computer. It slows down because of the extra work load.

So, what?s the moral of this tale? The point is that your computer running slow may be caused by a security attack. Your slow computer may need to be scanned for malicious software. In order to fix a slow running computer you make need to get rid of the software put on by the criminals.

If you look at identity theft statistics you will see the need for identity theft protection. Millions of people every year are the victims of identity theft. It?s really only a matter of time until your slow computer is determined to have been made slow due to an identity theft attack.

How To Repair Your Slow Computer - The Most Important Actions To Fix Your Slow Computer

Filed Under (windows registry) by freetraffic on 26-06-2009

“Why is my computer running slow. I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard people say that. Most of the people in my office have several machines. Typically they have one Windows machine and one Apple machine. The split between PC computers and Mac computers is about fifty fifty.

However, it’s always the PC computers that people say run slowly. I’ve repaired
the slow computer problem several times so now I’m the local guru, as it were. As a
result, right after I hear people say, “why is my computer running slow,” I then see them look at me.
Then they ask for my help.

I’m a good sport about it. I know what it’s like to have a slow computer, it stinks. Here is how I fix the slow computers. This process can often get them
as fast as new. I begin by asking a series of questions to learn some of the history.

My first question is usually something about how old the computer is, when did they buy it. If they tell me the computer is more than four years old, I tell them to buy a new one. I tell them this because any Windows personal computer that is more than three years old was designed to run application software
that is now obsolete.

Newer application programs are designed to use the full power of the newest hardware. As such, you are basically asking your old computer to do something it was not
made to do. This can and will slow it down. Okay, so, if the computer is less than three
years old, I then ask about kids. I ask if kids have access to and use the computer. Seems
like a crazy question, unless you have kids. If you have kids, you know exactly why I ask this question.
‘Nuff said. Hang on, hear me out. If the children have access and they use the computer they are going to run gaming programs because that’s what they like. Game software are nothing but Trojan Horses full of bad software. They deliver spyware, malware, viruses and all manner of other electronic junk. As a result, your computer slows down because
of all of the bad software.

As you might have figured out, the fix is to get rid of the games. Delete them, uninstall them or use remover programs to do the job. Okay, so you’ve gotten rid of the games and your computer is still running slow. What now? The answer is a virus scan. A virus scan will tell you if your computer is infected with a
virus and or which ones. Most scanner software will also remove the viruses it finds, if you want.

If you are given this option, get rid of all of the found viruses. The first time you do a virus scan you will be amazed at how many it finds. It can often be dozens or more. Most viruses don’t impact your computer in a big way. Some, a few, can be totally devastating and wreck data or steal your information. Mostly they just “gum up the works” and make your computer run slowly.

So, if the viruses are removed and you still find yourself yelling, “why is my computer running slow,” then it’s time to move on to spyware. Spyware may be responsible for your computer running slowly. Spyware takes a huge performance toll on the computer processor
because it’s basically parasitic. It’s a parasite that uses up processing capacity and that slows your computer down. So, what’s this spyware stuff anyway? Spyware is software that is designed to steal data from your computer. It steals passwords, keystrokes, files and basically
anything the programmer designed it to do. As I mentioned, spyware takes up computer processing capacity and that slows your computer down. It slows it down because it has increased the workload on the processor. The CPU (central processing unit) already has a lot of work to do, specifically if it’s old. Spyware comes along and adds to that workload. The outcome is that your computer
begins running slow.

Fast forward and assume your spyware has been all removed (use spyware removal software). Further assume that you are still asking yourself, “why is my computer running slow?” If that’s the case, the next step
is registry repair. The Windows registry is a core element of the Microsoft Windows operating system. The Windows registry is like a kind of master file. The Windows registry controls many aspects of the Windows operating system and the PC at large. Like any file, the Windows Registry can become corrupt. This can happen as a result of an electric shock, a problem
with the hard drive or a number of other similar [spin]things.

The Windows registry can also be hacked by spyware or a virus. The thing to do is to run a registry check and repair software that will find and repair any problems. After you have run a Windows registry repair program and resolved any resulting issues the next and final step is to run a patch update. This basically means checking to make sure the Windows operating system has all the patches necessary
to be current. You can download the patches at the Microsoft Windows operating system web site.

Once your Windows operating system is current on its patches, it will tell you when a new patch is available. All you need to do it keep an eye on your system tray on your desktop. When the Windows icon goes yellow, click on it and follow the directions. Oopps. Almost forgot, you need to run a hardware diagnostic. This will check
all of the hardware systems on your personal computer and the interface to the Windows operating system. Your computer probably came with a diagnostic when you got it new from the store. If you can’t find it, check the manufacturer’s web site. The good news is that you don’t have to do all these steps one at a time. There are lots of good programs
on the market that will do most or all of the steps in a single pass process. Do a few Google searches to find one you like. Often personal computer repair type software can be purchased for under $100 and is well worth it.
